Hi All,
Just had a great weekend........ Please ensure that you make the 7th to 9th November free in your diary for next years Tyne Tour.
This will be open to all those who attended this year or have done WW training with me and are training for their 3* award.....
For any person under 18 who wishes to go please ask your parents to discuss the weekend with me.
Thanks to all who attended. I'll post more comments later

Hi Folks – great weekend – You can definitely count me in for 2008! (Though I think I’ll be investigating in a pair of industrial ear muffs!)
Thanks to all who made the weekend so enjoyable – especially Richard & Steve (Hope you’re feeling better) for transporting us (and a few kyaks on the roof) to and from the river. Also the “on the water caretaking team” – Richard, Scott & Tom.
Andy
PS Having survived the odds (Much to my own surprise!) I’d be most interested to view that swim chart – just in case SOMEONE (????) took a “technical swim”.
Wish we'd been there!!! Go on, tell us who went for a swim...I promise not to tell anyone else ;-)
Hi Kirsty, The person was part of the "caretaking team", and he was T-rescued by myself and James from both sides at the same time!!! - and it wasn't Tom!!!
Can you guess who it is!
Richard. Many thanks for organising a great weekend of paddling. Certainly aim to be available for next year.
Hi all, thanks again Richard for a well organised and confidence boosting weekend. For me it was the first time in a boat (except France) since Easter this year and thou id done a bit of the Clyde some years ago, the first time id encountered fast water. Id better apologise now for moaning at the start but "i dislike that boat" sorry all but that and thinking my insides were vacating my body from both ends at 05:30 sat morning (not due to drink might i add) honest! i was feeling pretty rough and sorry for myself.
Thou a little shakey at the start and in some discomfort i started to enjoy it and hand on heart was'nt worried by any of the sections (thanks to Richard and Tom's coaching)and i did,nt swim woohoo. I was glad when we reached Barrasford and thou feeling rough enjoyed watching Richard,Scott and Toms playtime, and that was the end of my weekend on the water and now im left with a cough id have been proud of when i smoked and a kind of something unfinished feeling in pit of my stomach so in the words of that Austrian governor of California "I'l be back" hopefully with my own boat and with some more experience under my paddle next year il complete it.
Thanks to Scott Tom Ron Andy and James for making the newboy feel welcome.
Anyone for a hog roast sandwich.
