Yes, it rained. Again. A lot! But we had fun despite the flood warnings, and luckily the rapidly rising water level never quite made it up as far as the tents (or the pub!). High winds meant that only one whole group paddle could be arranged, although several hardy souls took trips onto Derwent Water and many chose to swim in it despite the cold. The Saturday evening cycle was split into road cyclists and mountain bikers - though both groups managed to arrive at the same pub at the same time!

Car Gone Again
Well there goes another car, repairs are so expensive so it's gone to the scrap yard. At least the replacement is a hatchback and I can fit my H3 in, the only thing now is I've got tendonitus in my shoulder and have been told by the Doctor to lay off paddleing :-(

drybags
I have just had returned an Ortleib drybag which I misplaced during the Tyne Tour. Inside it is a Gul 12l clear dry bag and a small coghlans drybag with a yellow velcro closure which in turn contains a bottle with a green top and some black gaffer tap wrapped around it and in which there is a small amount of cash.
Not mine but some one must recognise it!

Hackfall to Sleningford
An almost Springlike day on the 1st March with excellent conditions for paddling from Hackfall to Sleningford. A bit of a drop down from the carpark to the river, but once we got going there was just enough water to make it interesting particularly on the Hackfall rapids and Sleningford.
Scott added to his swin tally while practising his spins, otherwise we all kept dry despite taking on the weir at Sleningford (which was just a scrape over)!
Here are some photos:
